ICF hearts Mambo and Playboy!
I might be biased, but I think In City Fashion stables an amazing collection of labels. For guys and girls, for the office or the beach – what ever clothing you need, you can find it here. And now we are super excited to be welcoming two new big names in the fashion world to our website: Mambo and Playboy.
Mambo
Mambo is an Australian label like no other. Inspired by the surfing life, music, art and general creative mayhem, Mambo has carved a unique place for it’s self in Australian culture. They are iconic, cool, timeless and have more cred than Kanye. Mambo has been around for so long that it’s a part of my childhood and teenage memories: my sister was given a Mambo T-Shirt for Christmas when I was 12 and I was super jealous. The cute skateboarder down the street had a Mambo sticker on his window. My tennis coach wore a Mambo cap for our lessons every Friday after school. It’s presence through my life gives me an instant connection to Mambo, but they have also evolved as a label and continue to recruit amazing artists, designers and ambassadors. The beautiful Cheyenne Tozzi is the face of their Mambo Goddess range, check out her behind the scenes shots at: www.mambo.com.au.
At ICF we are loving their men’s T-shirts and boardies! Here are my fave pieces from Mambo:
Mambo does T-Shirts
Who doesn’t love E.T? I love this cheeky spin on a classic film poster, 100% Mambo indeed. I love that this also looks like a band T-shirt or an old Star Trek fan shirt, it’s the retro nerd look at it’s best. The T-shirt on the right is easily their most recognisable. I can’t believe how well priced this is! Check it out!
Mambo does boardies
Mambo knows how to do the perfect boardshorts. After all, they did start as a surfie label and if you want cool and comfy, you’ve come to the right brand. I am absolutely in love with this pair of Mambo boardies (on right), this sunglass print is so quirky and cool… I wish I could have dress made out of this material.
Playboy
This rabbit is more famous than Bugs Bunny, Peter Rabbit and the Easter Bunny combined. I know two people who have the playboy bunny tattooed on them in compromising places (they and the locations of their tattoos shall remain nameless). This shows just how iconic this brand is. The rise of the Playboy empire is one of the most amazing success stories and their fashion label is sexy, fun and shows you have bucket loads of confidence. It’s all about the bunny.
Playboy does underwear
Remember when guys wore their pants really low so you could see the label on the elastic waist band? Well, with jocks this cool that trend may come back! This cotton pair is available at incityfashion.com.au.
Playboy does sleepwear
Whatever happened to the silk dressing gown? Well, it’s back with a vengeance! If Tom Ford wears one, every guy should. It’s old school suave that I reckon men should seriously consider for a new night time or cocktail hour look.
